When
Jazz musician, producer, and racial justice advocate Michael Mwenso will be in residence with Arizona Arts Live the week of September 25. His goal is to deeply connect with Tucson and build solidarity through music. The artist in residency takes many forms, from workshops to radical hospitality to pop-up concerts to marches, but the centerpiece of his work is the ancestral listening sessions.
This Ancestral Communal Listening Session will be held in the African American Student Affairs Center, room 202, located inside the Martin Luther King Jr. Building (1322 E. 1st Street).
Lunch will be provided for attendees. Please RSVP by September 18, 2023 so that we are able to fully estimate how much food will need to be ordered.
